For many modern motorists, crossovers and SUVs are the end-all and be-all of the new car shopping experience. After all, today’s drivers are busier than ever, and the versatility and space that come with a crossover provide the perfect solution for cruising through a hectic schedule in style!
At our VA Hyundai dealership, we’re head over heels for the 2017 Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe, and Santa Fe Sport. As such, we’re thrilled to say that not only will these models be sticking around for the foreseeable future, but they’ll also be receiving more spacious redesigns and a few more friends out on the road!
As drivers’ families and to-do lists grow, the result is a collection of drivers who are looking for even more space in their vehicles. Hyundai is always eager to provide drivers with what they’re after, which is why the automaker revealed some upcoming changes for its lineup at this year’s LA Auto Show.
Over the next few years, the Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe, and Santa Fe Sport will undergo some shifts. While the Tucson will remain fairly similar, at least in function, the Santa Fe duo will see some big changes. The Sante Fe will be growing up a bit, expanding to become an eight seater. Meanwhile, fans of the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport at our VA showroom will want to be on the lookout for a new nameplate; the crossover will take on a more rugged style along with a new name to minimize confusion for shoppers.
Hyundai North American CEO Dave Zuchowski also revealed that, as these models grow a bit, new models would join them to fill the needs of small crossover shoppers. No names or designs have been released, yet, but shoppers can look forward to a B-segment crossover for 2018 and an even more compact A-segment model by 2020.
