The 2017 Nissan Rogue may be a one-of-a-kind crossover, but it’s certainly not the only rogue in the universe. In a galaxy far, far away, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is bringing moviegoers an all-new glimpse of the Star Wars universe.
Our Stafford area Nissan dealership is thrilled that Nissan is one of just five global brands working alongside Lucasfilm Limited in a campaign to celebrate the new film’s release.
Of course, it doesn’t take a marketing expert to spot the opportunity to partner the 2017 Rogue and Rogue One based on their names. Believe us when we say, though, that this has opened the door to much more than just clever slogans!
The 2017 Nissan Rogue already brings Stafford area drivers at our Fredericksburg showroom an extensive redesign for the new model year, but the automaker’s partnership with Lucas Ltd. brings Star Wars fans even more to love. The Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition features exclusive Star Wars design elements and details, making it the first-ever production vehicle to feature Star Wars branding.
This industry first comes to drivers in either white of black exterior paint, with blacked out details and signature LED lighting. “Rebel Alliance” or “Galactic Empire” logo decals and Rogue One badging on the front doors add to the signature style. This Limited Edition will be contained to 5,400 copies—5,000 in the United States and 400 in Canada.
“The Nissan Rogue and the first Star Wars standalone movie share more than just a name. The Star Wars film franchise has pushed the boundaries of technology since the debut of the original episode nearly 40 years ago,” said Jeremy Tucker, vice president, Marketing Communications & Media, Nissan North America, Inc. “Nissan is doing the same with its industry-leading cars, trucks and SUVs like the new Rogue–our most advanced Rogue to date–so it’s natural that the two join forces.”

For Nissan, innovation is the name of the game. The automaker is constantly striving to move forward, working hard to bring drivers both a better ride and an improved ownership experience!
In addition to crafting the breathtaking powertrains that you’ll find in the vehicles at our Fredericksburg Nissan dealership serving Stafford, Nissan is also putting in the effort to make day-to-day life easier for drivers. The brand’s latest development comes in the form of the first self-cleaning car prototype!
Coated in an innovative paint that repels everyday grime like rain, dirt, and mud, this self-cleaning Nissan Note is currently undergoing extensive real-world testing by the engineers at Nissan Technical Centre Europe. Nissan is the first automaker to make use of this Ultra-Ever Dry® coating, essentially creating a vehicle that keeps itself clean.
In tests, the coating has proven to be highly effective against many substances that drivers encounter on the road, ranging from rain and standing water to frost and sleet. Ideally, Nissan hopes to offer the protective coating as an aftermarket option in the future.
While this innovative new coating is still being developed, it doesn’t mean you need to break out the hose and sponge when you want your car to look its best; our Nissan dealer is here to help Stafford area drivers keep their vehicles looking great!
To help you cover the basics, we provide a free trip through our car wash with every visit to our service center. We also offer an extensive range of other cleaning services, including full interior and exterior detailing packages to help your car maintain its fresh-from-the-factory look!

While the season may have gotten off to a mild start, winter has finally made its way to us. At our Nissan dealership near Stafford, the recent snowstorm stands as a solid reminder of the importance of winter car maintenance.
One of the easiest – and most important – things that you can do for your vehicle at this time of year is to ensure that your tires are properly inflated. This is critical for your tires to maintain optimum grip on the road, as well as for them to properly channel water from your path when snows begin to melt.
Before you actually check the pressure, you need to know what pressure your tires should be set to. The recommended pressure, measured in PSI, will be noted in your vehicle’s manual. You can typically find the recommended pressure on a label inside your car’s doorjamb, as well.
It’s also crucial to check your vehicle’s tires at the right time. If at all possible, always check your tire pressure first thing in the morning; driving creates friction on your tires, which in terms creates heat and gives a false reading. If you’re unable to check before driving anywhere, be sure to let your vehicle cool down before checking.
Next, it’s time to check the pressure. Be sure to use a tire pressure gauge intended for cars; eyeballing it or kicking the tires isn’t enough to get an accurate reading. Additionally, be sure to check all four tires. Even if the first tire you check is spot on, the others may not be. If you’re unsure how to do this, or if you don’t have a pressure gauge, the team at our Stafford area Nissan tire center is happy to lend a hand.
Finally, adjust the air pressure so that it’s in line with your vehicle’s specifications. If the pressure is too high, simply hold the gauge halfway down a little at a time to release some of the air. At this time of year, though, it’s much more likely that the cold air will have brought your pressure lower than desired. In this case, a quick use of an air pump will have you set in no time.
Of course, this is also an ideal time to check the condition of your tires, as well as to rotate or replace them if necessary. If you’d like help from our experts in ensuring your tires are ready for what’s around the bend, then come see us! Our service center offers extended hours Monday through Saturday; no need for an appointment, just bring it in. For more info, or if you prefer to schedule an appointment, be sure to contact Pohanka Nissan of Fredericksburg online or to call our team at (540) 898-5200 today.
